Parishioners in a Tamar Valley village are celebrating after receiving funds from the Government’s #Culture Recovery Fund for their historic parish church.
The £10,800 grant to the parochial church council in the village of St Dominick, between Saltash and Callington, means that they can continue to maintain the 13th-century St Dominica’s Church as in previous years, despite greatly reduced parish income due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, thanks to the grant, the church’s sound system and children’s corner will be improved and an IT system can be installed so the historic building can be used by more groups and for more events in the future.
