A folk duo who have played at Glastonbury Festival will be at Callington Town Hall on Friday, May 17.
The Drystones are an award-winning lively folk duo, from Priddy in Somerset, who play violin, guitar and tin whistle. Alex Garden and Ford Collier have made a big splash since they formed the band in July 2011.
At their 2013 Glastonbury Festival performance, they were highlighted by Steve Lamacq on Radio 2 as his ‘recommendation of the day’ and were the 2015 Larmer Tree Breakthrough music award winners. In 2015 Michael Eavis asked them to play at the Glastonbury Extravaganza to replace Joan Armatrading who had cancelled and last year they were nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award.
