Pilot Gig rowing’s new All-County Championships take place at Saltash today.

Organised by the Caradon club, the inaugural event is sponsored by St Austell Brewery and re-launched under their Tribute (pale ale) branding as the National County Championships.

It is the first time rowers have the honour of representing their home counties as opposed to the traditional ‘club’ based events which are held throughout the summer months and culminate in the County (club) Championships, hosted by the Newquay club in September.
