A teenager from South East Cornwall has been to Buckingham Palace to receive her gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Georgia Owen, 18, from Landrake, was invited to a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the awards scheme and a presentation of gold awards.
Georgia has completed the bronze, silver and gold awards through the Saltash Open Awards Centre led by Luke and Sarah Green.
Television personality Ray Mears presented a certificate to Georgia who was also introduced to Prince Edward.
Georgia, who attended the celebration, with her mum Jan, also saw Prince Philip, the scheme’s founder.
