Visitors to this year’s Royal Cornwall Show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are being encouraged to visit Wales & West Utilities’ stand to have their say on the future of the gas network in the area.
Wales & West Utilities, which invests £2 million a week looking after the gas network, whilst also providing the national gas emergency service for the area, is asking visitors to give their views as part of a public consultation programme which will help shape its next programme of work.
Wales & West Utilities charges for services through consumer gas bills and currently, this makes up 20% of an annual gas bill. The company is looking for visitors to the show to give their views on the gas emergency service, investment to keep the gas network safe and reliable and how it can support those most in need. It is also seeking views on preparing the gas network for a greener future, making sure it can continue to deliver essential services for generations to come.
People visiting Wales & West Utilities at stand 487, will be guided by trained staff to answer a few simple questions and completed entries will go into a weekly draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher.
