A low turn-out and damage to a marquee at a community event has forced organisers to consider scrapping it.

Callington Gala Day is organised by the local Lions club and this year was held on the same day as the Callington Carnival.

Organiser Jamie Dowdall said a lack of visitors meant the club would have to consider whether they carry on organising the event.
