SALTASH Age Concern is in urgent need of two honorary treasurers to handle the general accounts and the minibus accounts. And without the treasurers, the organisation would have to consider closing down. Saltash Age Concern, founded more than 20 years ago, provides a variety of services for elderly people in Saltash. These include a luncheon club and a variety of social activities, as well as a foot care clinic and a social car scheme. Its minibus, shortly to be replaced, provides a shopping service from some sheltered housing estates to the town centre and brings elderly people to club meetings. Saltash Age Concern is a very successful charity operating with a happy and dedicated team of volunteers. Those considering applying for the posts would need to have good book keeping skills and be trustees of the charity. For further information, contact Amy Inglis, chairman, on 01752 843000.
