A FUNDRAISING morning is to be held tomorrow (Saturday, March 12) morning at the Quethiock Village Hall to help refugees from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Coffee Morning for Ukraine will take place from 10am to midday in the village near Liskeard and as well as coffee there will be tea, savoury bakes and cakes being served.
There will also be take away packs available – for those watching the afternoon rugby!
All proceeds will go direct to the Disaster Emergency Committee, a group of 15 well known charities who have joined together to help Ukraine - see www.dec.org.uk
The organisers of the Quethiock fundraising morning say: “Please support this event. We have all seen the terrible images coming from Ukraine and the border crossing points to other countries. It is heartbreaking – so please come along and give whatever you can.”
