People visiting any of Cornwall’s 26 libraries will now be able to log on to the internet from their own tablet, phone or laptop following the introduction of free Wi-Fi.

Organisers say the move will help encourage people to manage their council services online.

There are free four-week computer courses available for beginners. Learners can now bring their own devices if they wish or there will be access to computers in the library.

So far, 550 people each year have been helped to get online at library venues.
