A theatre company is offering free opportunities to local youngsters thanks to a £15,000 grant.

Acting, script-writing, Cornish wrestling, stage combat and sculpture are some of the activities on offer from Play it Again Theatre.

The Arts Council-funded workshops start on January 28 at the Millpool Centre in Looe.

The sessions will culminate in an outdoor performance, Kilminorth Assemble, to be staged in May.

The project is open to anyone 12- 18 in the Liskeard and Looe area.

Workshops will run every Saturday between 2pm-5pm and there will be drinks and snacks to keep participants going. All who take part will have the chance to gain an Arts Award qualification.

The project has also received support from the East Looe Town Trust, West Looe Town Trust, and the Cornwall Community Foundation.
