FOLLOWING the retirement of the Rev Martin Sellix in March, it has been announced that the Rev Canon Tony Ingleby has accepted the appointment to become priest-in-charge of the Benefice of St Martin's, Liskeard, and St Keyne. The Rev Ingleby is currently priest-in-charge at Stoke Climsland and Linkinhorne, the chaplain at Duchy College and rural officer for the diocese. Before entering the ministry, the Rev Ingleby was a teacher for nine years, during which time he was also church warden, Pathfinder Leader and reader at St Andrew's Church, Plymouth. Already well known in the area, he has also been vicar of Pelynt and rector of Lanreath between 1988-1997 before moving to his present incumbancy. He has also been a school governor at several local schools which has included St Martin's Primary in the town. The Rev Ingleby is married to Marion and they have two sons aged 21 and 22 years.
