How many Brits admit to having a wonky toilet seat?

That’s the first question in a new series of quiz books with a difference.

The Quizzes To Enjoy Online And Offline books have been compiled by former Cornish Times editor Andrew Townsend with the aim of encouraging people to have some happy, lighthearted conversations.

Each of the three e-books, available on Amazon, contains 20 four-question multiple-choice quizzes.

Andrew said: ’My family and friends have enjoyed the fun quiz questions over the years. Rather than just being a test of memory or knowledge - or of how good you are at guessing! - the quizzes will hopefully spark conversations on the wide range of topics covered.

’Quite often a question would bring to mind such anecdotes and memories that it seemed a shame to interrupt and ask the next one.

’The questions can be asked remotely over the internet, using one of the video conferencing programmes available, or in a room of people, where that’s allowed, of course.

’I hope the books may help, at the moment, to banish the lockdown boredom.’

So how many Brits do admit to having a wonky toilet seat?

The choices are:

A. Nearly a fifth

B. Nearly a third

C. Nearly half

And the answer is B - nearly a third of Brits! Are you one of them?!

Quizzes To Enjoy Online And Offline, (ATFJ Publishing, price 99p), are available on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B086N379VR).

The books have been really well received so far, with one reviewer on Amazon giving it five stars and saying: ’Excellent purchase, my family really enjoyed it’.

Meanwhile, Cornish Times reporter Kerenza Moore said: ’One of the things we’ve really missed about having Andrew around is his habit of coming into the office on a Monday and seeing if we can figure out the answer to a quirky fact he has read about over the weekend.

’His quizzes always brought a lot of laughter and sometimes surprising answers, and I’m looking forward to my copy of the book arriving.’
