Saltash United 8 Torpoint Athletic 1

Four second half goals from James Donnellon put paid to any chance of Torpoint getting anything out of Tuesday's local derby. The game was fairly even for the first 20 minutes, but once Gareth Jones opened the scoring after being put through by Bradley Richardson, the writing was on the wall. Danny Murdoch cut in from the wing to net number two. Donnellon woke up the game in the second half by hitting all his four goals. Jones and Murdoch added to their tally, with a Lee Vigus left- footed shot Torpoint's only response, although they did hit the Saltash woodwork twice. 'Once we got the ball down and got into our passing game there was only one team in it,' said Saltash manager Tony Richardson. Torpoint manager Mark Pacey said 'We didn't take advantage of a number of chances. We also hit the post and the bar.'
