LISKEARD Athletic Football Club have had to postpone a charity event to honour Damien Bendelow. The players and managers had aimed to complete a 300-mile run/cycle/row at Lux Park on Saturday (August 8).
The idea behind the project was to honour local lad Damien, who died earlier this year and who is known and missed by many at the club.
All money raised would have been split equally between Damien’s family and the club.
But a club statement issued on Wednesday morning said: 'Unfortunately, due to FA restrictions, we have had to postpone the event.'We will still be completing it but at a later date, to be confirmed.'The link to the fundraising page can be found at https://www.gofundme.com/f/liskeard-football-club-300-mile-challenge
