Food poverty is real and is happening right under our noses, says a group which has been formed to help tackle the issue.
The Real Junk Food Project (RJFP) has staged a series of ‘pay as you feel’ lunches for families at Liskeard’s Scout Hut this summer.
The aim is to provide healthy, nutritious and sustaining meals for children while making use of food from supermarkets, restaurants and traders which would otherwise go to waste.
We have a full report on the work of the group in this week’s edition of the Cornish Times, on sale until Friday.
