FIVE people were injured as three vehicles collided near Callington on Wednesday morning. Emergency services were called to the A388 near Kelly Bray after a Volvo lorry, a Ford Focus and a BMW were in collision at 6.35am. The BMW driver, a 26-year-old man from Launceston, suffered two broken legs while the driver of the Ford, a 59-year-old woman from Plymouth, broke an ankle and finger. They were both taken by air ambulance to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital. Three others were described as 'walking wounded' and were taken to Derriford by road. The road was closed in two places – the junction with the B3257 and the junction with Stoke Climsland – to allow crash investigators to work at the scene. It was not re-opened until 4pm.
