THE first images of a new heritage centre set to open in Looe have been released.
The former Sardine Factory on the quayside in West Looe is being transformed by the Looe Harbour Commission in a £1.5m project – and it is set to open this summer.
The new building will house an outward bound centre, a training restaurant, and a heritage centre celebrating the town’s maritime past and present.
The contract to design and fit an interactive exhibition has been awarded to 20/20 Projects, which is based in Falmouth.
The family-friendly exhibition will ‘bring the subject to life using all the senses’ and showcase the various activities that have shaped Looe through time.
