Community recovery champions and volunteers from the Addaction organisation are organising a special Festival of Hope.
Included will be the third annual ‘Acorn’ Service of Remembrance organised by Cornwall Drug and Alcohol Action Team. Both events will take place in Truro’s Boscawen Park between noon and 5pm on Saturday, September 24.
The announcement of the new date comes on the same day as the release of figures from the Office for National Statistics which show another increase nationally in drug related deaths. This is mirrored in the figures for Cornwall which have seen a rise of 29% from 2014 to 2015.
