Chain replacement work on the Torpoint Ferry which had been planned to start today has been postponed because of high winds.

The Lynher II is due to go for its five-yearly refit in Falmouth on March 15 and the chain replacement has to be carried out before this date, says Tamar Crossings.

This work is now scheduled to be done early next week - the operating company is asking users of the ferry to keep an eye on the Tamar Crossings website and social media for more precise updates .
