Some commercial vehicle users will now have to pay less to use the Torpoint ferry.
The taxman has decided there is no longer a requirement to charge VAT for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in gross weight.
So from April 5, such vehicles will pay £3.70 rather than £4.20. Electronic payment will reduce from £2.10 to £1.85. Both fees are in line with the Tamar Bridge, where VAT has never been charged.
