A PARTY was held at Tamar House Care Home in Old Ferry Road, Saltash, to say farewell to matron and manager Ruby Jiji Varghese, who was leaving after 11 years at the home.

She is moving with her husband and two children to Northern Ireland to take up a hospital position as a clinical manager.

Tamar House proprietor Mrs Yvonne Beaumont wished her well and gifts from staff and residents were presented to her. A buffet lunch was served and afterwards Mr Al Mc Brian, guitar provided music for singing and dancing.

Ruby said she would miss the staff and residents after her many years there.
