After four years of taking place at Warfelton Playing Fields, the annual Saltash May Fair will be returning to the town centre. Taking place on Saturday, April 30, the relocation is part of the rejuvenation the new fair committee has been planning for the last year. The move will see the event spreading across Fore Street into Victoria Gardens and across to Longstone Park, with plenty to see and do for all the family. The annual Parade of Youth will start the day off, after which the community will be able to enjoy a street market in the town centre, which will also have rides for the children and musical entertainment. One of the features in Longstone Park will be ‘Battlefield Live Kernow’, a stage with performances by Livewire Youth Project and other entertainment, while there will be maypole dancing in Victoria Gardens and music from the town band. The Saltash May Fair will also be one of the first community events in the nation to be a Live Snap Story on Snapchat, the social media app.

Full details of attractions and events will be in the Cornish Times in print, out on April 29.
