Saltash could have an events co-ordinator, funded by community benefit money from its supermarkets.
The Town Council has made an application for Section 106 funding for such a post, and now the Saltash Town Improvement Group (STIG) has been tasked to come up with a business plan.
As well as coordinating existing regular events in the town, the role would include developing new events and being a point of contact for business, says the Town Council.
