With a moderate, westerly breeze, race officials decided on a starting line approximately a mile-and-a-half off Looe to accommodate the second Round the Island race.
The Bert and Audrey Stevens Challenge Cup was up for grabs in the Mirror class, with Esther Bowdler and Austin Rudd charting the right course, firstly off Port Nadler beach then the mark off Midmain, to secure a well-deserved victory.
The Palfrey brothers, Joe and Billy, fought all the way but had to settle for second spot, while Alex Richardson and Callum Johns recaptured a bit of form to finish third.
Redwingers Colin Crabb and Adam Hayler also battled the heavy conditions west of Looe Island to take class honours.
Steve Sargent and Callum Dingle crossed the line first in the Enterprise race after a head-to-head with newcomers to the fleet, Ben Crabb and Briony McCartney.
The winners were last seen at the clubhouse bar, toasting their victory and threatening to buy a round.
