LISKEARD is gearing up for its 5th annual Ploughman’s Festival, which since its inception in 2014 has grown in popularity year on year.

The organising crew have pulled out all the stops for this year's event on Saturday, August 18, so get ready for the biggest festival so far!

The event attracts hundreds of festival-goers to the town, all keen to enjoy the local foods, ales and cider, and various entertainments. Added to this are performances from some fantastic bands and acoustic artists, producing a fun-filled day out for all the family with a chilled-out festival vibe.

Traditionally in two halves, the festival begins with the Farmers’ Market in the morning, which has a larger number of traders this year and a lot more entertainment. The music festival in the afternoon at Westbourne Gardens has expanded with two bigger stages.

The festival line-up this year includes main stage headliners Echo Town, Liskeard indie/rock band Raikes, Looe band The Huckleberry Finns, Saltash country/Americana singer Paul Armer and Widegates singer-songwriter Dave Goosey – plus many more.
