Engineering students from Liskeard School and Community College were delighted with a recent opportunity to visit an engineering firm in Plymouth.

On the visit to Kawasaki Precision Machinery UK, the GCSE, BTEC and A-level students gained a better understanding of how local engineering manufacturing companies mass produce products using ‘state of the art’ CNC machines.

Kawasaki manufacture hydraulic components and systems such as pumps and motors for the marine and construction sector.

A presentation was given by Kawasaki apprentices and students also enjoyed a tour of the workshops.
