Callington Community College entered the 48th International Chemistry Olympiad, a challenging series of questions that have a topical focus on real world issues. The competition tested the students’ understanding of many aspects of the subject. This was the second year that students from Callington have entered. Last year, Jessica Hawkins and Lawrence Clarkson achieved bronze certificates. This year the pair improved their performance and gained silver certificates while Oliver Congdon achieved a bronze award.
