Catering students at Cornwall College Saltash put pasties they had baked to the public vote. The Level 2 catering students brought together fellow students and staff to mark the annual Celebrating Diversity week. The students were tasked with creating two pasties, one traditional and one of their choice, and then marketing them around the college. They had to create their team name and pasties, develop a marketing strategy and sell their ideas to win customers. Corey McNeil, from the winning team, said: ‘It was good fun. We did the traditional pasty and a curry one. It was challenging but really rewarding and good to look at foods from around the world.
