Sixth formers in Saltash will have the chance to work alongside town councillors as part of a new initiative.

Councillor Adam Killeya, who is also head of sixth form at Saltash.net community school, suggested that a panel made up of students and councillors would help students to get involved in local politics, as well as making them more aware of community issues.

Several councillors have volunteered to be part of such a panel.
