School children encountered an emergency situation when they went along to the HMS Raleigh naval training establishment in Torpoint.

The pupils, from the HMS Heroes group at Carbeile Junior School in the town, had the challenge of saving a ship from sinking – in a simulator.

They battled to stem the flow of water as the drama unfolded in the damage repair instructional unit.
