The award winning drama-based education programme, Bin it!, which educates students about responsibility and litter, has launched its biggest ever annual nationwide tour of schools. The educational roadshow aims to demonstrate that littering is a habit that needs to be broken, challenging students to change their behaviour and understand the implications of littering, in particular the penalties they can incur if they litter.

Developed by The Wrigley Company, in partnership with specialist education consultancy Rapport, Bin it! is targeted at 11- to 13-year-olds.

The 2016 tour marks a decade of the Bin It! schools roadshow, in that time the programme has visited 574 schools in the UK, reaching over 100,000 pupils.

This year will be the biggest tour ever, with the show scheduled to reach over 30,000 students in the UK this year alone - an average of 180 students per performance.

Bin it! uses a team of actors to engage and educate young people about the problem of litter.

It visits Torpoint Community College on Wednesday, October 12.
