Visitors to the Eden Project are being welcomed by The Drummer, the famous work by renowned artist Tim Shaw, as it takes a holiday from its usual home outside the Hall for Cornwall in Truro.

The Drummer’s new home is in a prominent position just a short walk from the Visitor Centre at the top of the former clay pit. The statue needed a temporary base over the next two years due to major building work at the Hall for Cornwall. The bronze figure standing on a sphere beating a drum was created by Tim to celebrate the land of Cornwall and its people. He said: 'It’s great to see that The Drummer - which celebrates Cornwall, a place where the drum beats differently - has such a wonderful and inspiring home to go to. The situation could not be better.'
