There’s not much time left to put livestock and equine entries into the Royal Cornwall Show which runs from June 6 to 8. The deadline is April 17.

The cattle section will boast a new team competition for dairy and beef categories and its a special year for the British Charollais sheep as the Royal Cornwall has been selected as a focus show for the breed. This will bring national coverage with judging broadcast live from the event providing competitors the opportunity to showcase and promote the quality of their flocks to a wider industry audience.

In the equine section, the Dartmoor pony section welcomes a new class for two to three-year-old colts. In the main ring a new show jumping competition introduced at last year’s show, the mini major, is being expanded to accommodate eight pairs of competitors.
