Callington Town are through to the second round after putting aside their poor opening start to the league campaign by overcoming their Premier Division opponents.
Callington made use of the long ball well, with Lucas Skop winning many of the aerial combats. It was through one of these that Kane Wilson raced clear, only to narrowly lob over the crossbar. Minutes later, Wilson turned and fired an effort against the visitors' bar.
Callington had better luck next time when Skop got on the end of a Wilson cross to head his side into the lead. Wadebridge recovered and drew level through a hotly disputed penalty. Callington stepped up the pace in the second half and Skop rose to head against the crossbar.
The home side clinched victory with 10 minutes remaining when substiute Ollie Dawe headed home from close range.
