A date has been set for next year’s Looe Live! event after festival-goers gave a huge thumbs up to the music and vibe at the event last weekend.

The team of volunteers and directors say they are delighted with the response from visitors and the town - and say that all being well, the festival will be held on September 25-27 2020.

This year, big-name headliners rubbed shoulders with a variety of local and upcoming talent across the three day festival, and a new Classical Zone was an unexpected and overwhelming success.

Volunteer Shirin Hodgson-Watt has been on the photography team since the second year of the Looe Music Festival, and captured these images of Tanks the Henge, Moriaty and Level 42 in performance.

Describing herself as a passionate live music fan, Shirin said that it had been fantastic to see new talent on the BBC Introducing stage.

‘I would love to see some of the amazing original talent across Cornwall gain more exposure at future Looe Lives - there’s ample room to mix up the line up in a pretty exciting way,’ she said.

’It was fantastic to see The Sum Of and Moriaty on the BBC Introducing stage, and Rosie Crow’s set was a real highlight.

‘I think the stand out element of the festival is the good mood (and good will) that it’s attracting overall.’
