Passers-by stopped in their tracks to take in the unusual spectacle of a group of professional dancers performing in Liskeard town centre on Wednesday.
James Wilton Dance gave two performances of their outdoor version of “Leviathan’, a show described by The Stage as ‘Extraordinary’. The group has toured around the UK, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival earlier this month, and across into Serbia, Austria and Spain.
Accompanied by an electronic soundtrack, the dancers combined athletic dance, martial arts and capoeira - an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music.
The company was set up by James Wilton, from Bodmin. The group is performing this outdoor version of Leviathan in four other Cornish towns.
