Torpoint v Fowey

Torpoint elected to bat first in conditions which favoured bowlers. They proceeded to build up a score against a very good Fowey attack, led by Steer with six for 39. Apart from maestro batsman Freestone, who offered a good example of straight batting to score another 54, Torpoint could only muster a low score of 123. However, Steer's pace, line and length proved to be the deciding factor in this contest.

Torpoint were undaunted and, as ever, optimistic, and they chased Fowey, knocking six over before the required 124 were reached to win the game. They look a good bet to do well this season.
