A Callington couple who travelled to NEC Birmingham to enter their Boxer dog Oska at Crufts, the world’s biggest dog show, were delighted to receive a visit to their ring from Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. Katy Dawe and her partner Mark Bond were able to qualify Oska for the first time at Crufts as he had won his junior warrant, and an entry into the Kennel Club Stud Book. The three-year-old Boxer made the top eight from a big class of 21. Katy said: ‘I felt privileged to have been asked questions by Prince Michael, as he is the president of the Kennel Club. ‘Together with his wife they requested a special visit to the Boxer show ring. Princess Michael’s family once owned the Boxer breed.’
