Cornwall will be in the spotlight as part of the second annual BBC Music Day tomorrow (June 3).
The BBC Concert Orchestra will performing a family-friendly concert at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro alongside the Cornwall Family Orchestra and Chorus on Friday, June 3.
Tickets for this concert have been offered free to families in the county and the concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
Meanwhile, at the Eden Project, near St Austell, BBC Music Day ambassadors Duran Duran will be in concert. The show will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 as part of a four-hour special hosted by Sara Cox from 8pm to midnight.
The One Show, on BBC1, will be broadcasting live from the venue in the build-up to the concert. The gig will also feature in a BBC1 special programme to be broadcast later that weekend. The Cornwall Music Education Hub is involved in the day and will be staging free workshops and performances in St Austell town centre between 10.30am and 5pm.
