Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship fundraiser - the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning - takes place on Friday, September 30.

Last year, 787 coffee mornings were held in Cornwall, raising around £181,100 to help provide services and support for people affected by cancer.

Here in Cornwall, Macmillan is working closely with partner organisations to help provide clinical nurse specialists, develop a new information and support service at The Cove Macmillan Centre, Royal Cornwall Hospital, and help with the cost of cancer through the Citizens Advice Cornwall Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice.

Emma Wright, Macmillan Fundraising Manager in Cornwall said: ’It’s easy to take part and there’s all the help and information you need to host your own Macmillan coffee morning on the dedicated website www.coffee.macmillan.org.uk, where you can also find details of public and community Macmillan coffee mornings.’
