SINGLE mum Rachael Hawson from Antony Road, Torpoint, held a coffee morning at the Trot Inn on Saturday to help with ongoing private treatment for her 11-month-old son Philip. He suffers with marked plagiocephaly (a flat head) and has recently been fitted with a special 'cranio helmet' to correct this. The helmet costs up to £2,000 and there will be further expenses for Rachael, 34, when taking Philip to Cardiff for consultations over the next six months. Rachael and three friends are also doing a sponsored parachute jump this week to help with the fundraising. The coffee morning was held with the kind permission of landlord Steve Batters.
