Saltash Town Council is seeking nominations for the Saltash Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year Awards.
Each year the town council, in conjunction with the Rotary Club, selects a Saltash resident to receive the prestigious award, which goes to someone who has served his or her community in some special way.
It could be an outstanding one-off contribution to the town, or consideration is given to a person who has given a period of service to the local community, not just in the prior year.
However, the person nominated for an award must still be active and cannot be an employee or member of Saltash Town Council.
The similar award for the Young Citizen applies to under 21-year-olds, and living in Saltash.
Each recommendation should be accompanied by a note specifying the reasons for the suggestion and contact details.
Nominations should be sent by Friday, January 27, to the Town Clerk, Mr Ray Lane, The Guildhall, 12, Lower Fore Street, Saltash, PL12 6JX. You can e-mail your choice to: [email protected]
