BBC Children in Need is giving grants worth £179,858 to two projects in Cornwall.

The Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRSAC) in Bodmin has been awarded £119,321 to continue running its Young Empowered Women Project.

The second organisation benefiting from Children in Need funding is Active 8 which is receiving £60,537 to run its Acceler8 programme. This scheme supports teenagers with physical disabilities from all over Cornwall.
