Children have been helping the Royal Marines Band to create a special version of the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ for HMS Raleigh.
Young singers from Carbeile Junior School’s Military Kids Club and the Forces Friends group from Torpoint Nursery and Infant School went to the naval training base to film alongside musicians and singers from the band.
A video created by the Navy’s Fleet Photographic team shows personnel at Raleigh acting out a fun version of the festive song, where a partridge in a pear tree has been replaced by ‘a draft chit to join the navy’ - and there are ‘three stretcher runs’ instead of three french hens.
