South East Cornwall motorcyclist volunteers who provide a 999 service to hospitals and health centres have been presented with a big cheque.
RNAS Culdrose Air Department held a families day at the Air Station in Helston, a fun afternoon for families of personnel employed in the department.
A raffle was held at the end of the afternoon, and all the proceeds from the event were divided between Naval charities and Cornwall Blood Bikes, whose riders deliver blood and other vital medical supplies between health bases.
A cheque for £1,000 was presented to Brendan Hale, Cornwall Blood Bikes by Sub Lt Natalie Brierley and Flt Sgt Melissa Brown. Also in attendance were Lt Cdr. Stephen Gamble, LAC Jon Forbes and Mark Holroyd.
