A Royal Navy instructor based at HMS Raleigh has added a gold and silver medal from the Culinary Olympics to his collection of awards.
Leading Chef Andy Durham, who lives in Torpoint, was part of the Combined Services Culinary Arts team selected to take on the world’s best at the event in Erfurt, Germany.
The 30-year-old is currently based at the Defence Maritime Logistics School passing on his skills to the next generation of Royal Navy chefs. He is a regular competitor both for the Naval Services Culinary Arts team and the Combined Services and this brings his medal total to 11. LChef Durham also won the Craft Guild of Chefs Senior Chef of the Year award in 2015.
