Volunteer staff have been left shocked after the window of their charity shop was smashed.
Margaret Hawken, a volunteer at the Oxfam shop on Baytree Hill, Liskeard, said: 'The first thing I knew about it was when I came in this morning at 9am to start work.
'I don't think that this has ever happened to this shop before and I guess we're just lucky that the whole window didn't collapse because it is a plate glass window.'
Wednesday
Stead and Simpson, another shop on Bay Tree Hill, also had a front window smashed and it is believed that both incidents occurred at about 11.30pm on Wednesday night.
Speaking yesterday, Sgt Jo Williams, from Liskeard police station, said: 'There have been two windows smashed and two cars have been damaged.
'We believe that they are all linked and a suspect is currently in custody who was arrested on the scene. We are gathering evidence and we will be questioning the suspect later this afternoon.'
