Cancer Research UK fund-raisers, volunteers and partners will be gathering today to encourage  women across Cornwall to join the fight against cancer by signing up for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life 2017.

Race for Life 5k events will take place in Falmouth on May 14 and Truro on July 9, with the new Pretty Muddy event returning on September 3 at Stithians Showground.

Volunteers will be gathering across the county today to raise awareness. The demonstration of support will be shared on social media throughout the day, and will culminate at the Truro Cancer Research UK shop this afternoon.
