The RNLI is waiting to hear from swimmers prepared to tackle its annual Castle to Castle challenge across the mouth of the Fal.

The mile-long swim is now in its eighth year and has raised thousands for the charity.

Participants will swim one mile from Pendennis Castle and finish at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula. The swim is open to anyone over the age of 14, but due to the nature of the swim entrants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers and have previously swam at least one mile in open water.

Entry is £10 with a minimum sponsorship of £55. Registration opens at 7.30am and closes at 10am. The event is limited to 450 swimmers.

If swimming isn’t your thing, but you would like to help out at the event there are plenty of opportunities available. For more information email [email protected].
