Lostwithiel Rotarians are putting the final touches to a busy programme for this year’s Carnival Week which runs from July 17-23. Organised on their behalf by The Mad Hatter Sports Event Team, they are introducing a new event, ‘The Lostwithiel Hokey Cokey Swim and Wade Run’ during Charity Day on Sunday, July 17, at the King George 5th Field. The event will begin at 1.15pm with the children’s races (10-13 and 13-16) when the youngsters will run around the KGV before entering the river and swimming/wading downstream. This will be followed by the adults completing several circuits of a 1.2km swim and a 2.6km run. There will be a medal for all who participate.
